After a two-week jury trial — and over two years of contentious litigation — a downtown Los Angeles jury unanimously found in favor of Salisian | Lee LLP client Plaintiff Proland Real Estate Corporation dba Duggan Building and Construction on both of its claims for breach of contract and fraud against Florida-based Defendant TDS Construction. This dispute arose out of a development/construction project related to two Los Angeles-area Best Buy stores.
As a result of the verdict, the jury awarded $442,561.86 in damages, a figure which does not include attorneys’ fees, costs, and interest to be determined via post-judgment submissions to the Court. That award by the jury is nearly 10 times the face amount of the underlying contracts in dispute.
